On December 16th, at the invitation of Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, the delegation of the Group went to Yantai, Shandong Province for a meeting. During the meeting, they visited various exhibitions of the achievements since the establishment of the Development Zone, and were deeply encouraged.

Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone was located in Fushan District of Yantai and Penglai District. It was established in 1984 by the State Council and started construction in March 20, 1985. It is one of the first 14 national development zones in China, with a total population of 500 thousand and registered residence population of 200 thousand.

So far, an area of 71.7 square kilometers has been developed and an area of 48 square kilometers has been built. This development zone was personally selected by the then Vice Premier Gu Mu. Successive major Party and State leaders visited the development zone for guidance. In 2018, it ranked No. 7 in the comprehensive ranking of national economic development zone, No. 9 in industrial foundation and No. 6 in foreign trade. On August 30, 2019, Yantai Development Zone was officially determined as China (Shandong) pilot Free Trade Zone Yantai area.

On the same day, deputy director Liu HouBo met our delegation in his busy schedule accompanied by director Yang Kezhi. At the symposium, he had in-depth and extensive exchanges with director yuan TANGJian on the construction of the Red Education Base and Party Construction in the Development Zone, the implementation of Datang project, rural revitalization, culture and Tourism and other projects, and reached a preliminary consensus.

During this visit, we hope to implement and promote cooperation in the shortest time and strive to contribute to the local economic revitalization.
